In accordance with the "Notice on the Regular Recommendation and Application of Shandong Provincial Technology Innovation Center" and the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Construction and Development of Shandong Provincial Technology Innovation Center" and other regulations, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology organized the application and demonstration work for the Shandong Provincial Technology Innovation Center in 2023. After research and decision, the construction of 21 provincial technology innovation centers including Shandong Cloud Computing Technology Innovation Center was approved.
The Eastern Province Steel Rolling Technology Innovation Center is built with Rizhao Iron and Steel as the main construction body, and is co-constructed with the University of Science and Technology Beijing, the Iron and Steel Research Institute, Qingdao CIMC, Wuzheng Group, Rizhao Xingye Automobile and other scientific research institutions and the downstream industry chain. It mainly focuses on key common technologies such as low-carbon metallurgy, clean steel smelting, thin slab continuous casting and rolling, high-efficiency rolling, energy conservation and environmental protection, and carries out green and low-carbon steel technology innovation and green product production. After the center is completed, it will solve the technical problem of "stuck neck" in endless rolling of hot-rolled strip, effectively promote carbon reduction and emission reduction, promote the realization of the "dual carbon" goal in the field of strip production and manufacturing, and lead the coordinated green and healthy development of the upstream and downstream steel industry chains.
