As one of the core processes of iron-steel interface, the hot metal pretreatment operation area shoulders the important task of desulfurizing hot metal and ensuring the quality stability of hot metal. In the traditional desulphurization process, temperature sampling, desulphurization, stirring paddle cleaning, starting tipping, skimming operations, etc., need manual operation, employees frequently rush about in all aspects, work intensity, equipment operation is not timely also caused by passive production.

The "one-key desulfurization" system integrates advanced automatic control technology and efficient desulfurization process, and realizes a fully automated process from hot metal input to desulfurization treatment and then to output, making the connection of various links of desulfurization operations more smooth.

Earlier stage

The hot metal pretreatment operation area of the manpower Reserve Development Center fully assisted the steel mill to promote the "one-key desulfurization" system, which was gradually extended to other stations after trial operation at the No. 1 desulfurization station for a period of time. At present, all four desulfurization stations have been debugging and officially put into use.
In the hot metal pretreatment operation area, the operation status of the equipment was observed in time, and the system was continuously optimized. Six equipment improvement suggestions were put forward for the production and operation of the equipment successively, and all optimization was completed through the active coordination and rectification of the steel mill.
Through the "one-key desulfurization" system, the one-key operation on the system interface can realize the full automatic operation of molten metal tipping into the station, automatic temperature sampling, automatic stirring, automatic skimming, automatic paddle cleaning and molten metal tipping out of the station, from manual operation to manual management, desulfurization efficiency has been greatly improved. After several months of trial operation, the consumption of desulfurizer is significantly reduced, saving manpower and material resources, not only that, the precise control of the desulfurization process makes the quality of the desulfurized hot metal more stable and reliable for the orderly production of the converter.
