In this trial production, Baosteel's new technology of leveling liquid modification is applied to the company's special steel products for flux-cored wire for the first time. The technology provides anti-rust performance during storage and transportation through nano-level highly corrosion-resistant modified layer, so as to achieve no anti-rust oil coating on the surface but still have high cleanliness characteristics. At the same time, because the surface of the steel strip is not coated with oil, the rinsing and degreasing process is eliminated, which brings double benefits of reducing production costs and improving environmental protection efficiency for customers.
After 6 years of development and practice in Baosteel, the leveling liquid modification technology has supplied 100,000 tons globally, but it is the first time in the industry to be applied to flucored wire steel products, and the product type and production process are much different from the past. In order to realize the promotion of this technology as soon as possible, the science and Technology Quality center, cold rolling mill and Baosteel Research Institute personnel set up a special collaborative group, in response to the company's overall requirements of "innovation, efficiency and first-class" work, actively pressurized, seriously discussed, and proposed to challenge the technology under the more "extreme" stringent conditions of no oil on the steel strip surface and no upgrade of the packaging. To achieve a new breakthrough in the application of this technology.
Before production, the team visited the relevant welding wire enterprises, took the initiative to promote the new technology to customers, enhance customer confidence, eliminate customer concerns, and the two sides immediately determined the intention of joint trial production. After the order was issued, the collaborative team discussed and determined the comprehensive production plan from the aspects of production line production plan, customer use verification plan and abnormal situation handling for the key points of production line control, user processing requirements and potential risk points.
